Red Garden Birds

These are three of the large pieces that hung at Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg. Each is acrylic in canvas and mixed media. I can't remember the exact titles of these three. ALL SOLD
I also did a similar commission for Brian and Julie Morrow in Land Park that I forgot to photograph. At least I know where that one is, so I can still get a pic! I like to photograph each piece I create. It's helpful for me to see where I've been when trying to decide where to go with my next painting.

Garden Bird

I wish you could see all the detail in the background. 18"X24" $200

Garden Birds

This is one of a pair. 18X24 mixed media-acrylic on canvas. I had a lot of fun with these little birds. $200

Red Pear

The title pretty much says it. Most of the time I put my effort into my paintings, but some times I like to make up odd names for the titles. This is Red Pear, but it could have been "Fire fruit in chocolate sky" or "Eve's better choice" . $225

It's been too long

This is piece I did for a one evening show at a realty show. Lot's of cool other artists there. I enjoyed doing this series because it's not what I usually do. $225 24"X24"

Blue Rain Dog

This rather large painting is one of the pieces hanging at Old Sugar Mill. It measures 24"X36". She's another collage piece with a textured background Little Blue Rain Dog, so happy to be out in the rain. Dogs never mind the weather if they are out for fun!
I've finally listed some pieces on E-Bay. Wish me luck. They can be found by listing "Marla Kolb" in the search. I have a little folk and a little pop art too. Sometimes I just don't know what's going to pop out of me.

Mad Mad Woman

Not the mad, as in she's a hot head! Mad, as my Marika likes to say, "Gone off her chicken" I'm not really sure what THAT means, but I believe it means, cuckoo, crazy, bananas, or loony. And that's me... crazy as a loon. Crazy for art. But wouldn't it be great if people did say things like "That woman's gone banana's" I never hear that kind of language.
Anyway, I've been very busy setting up an on-line shop featuring my original paintings and linocuts on items such as mugs, totes bags and t-shirts. Go look at it!! Bookmark me! Get in while the gettin's good! Before I'm discovered!! See? I am a loon. No offense the you birders out there. Check me out at:
http://www.cafepress.com/inkypom and http://www.cafepress.com/linocuts
I'm still working on it, so there are plenty of typos and grammar mistakes for you happy grammar police to find. So go crazy Steve, Sue, Julie and Missy. I love you guys. Shpelings overated anyway! I'm always open to feedback. Mail me!
I've also been busy showing my work at Old Sugar Mill. http://oldsugarmill.com Again with language. They don't say "THE" Old Sugar Mill, just Old Sugar Mill. Hmmmmmm... go figure. Old Sugar Mill is a super cool place and someday will no doubt be very happening. They're just starting out and I am more than honored to be hanging my work on their walls. In fact, there it is, up with my favorite project that I like to call 25/7. Aren't they cute?!! Say yes. Old Sugar Mill is hosting a Port and Chocolate event, February 10th and 11th. I'll be there too. Come see me and Carvahlo Family Winery.
