5th Grade Auction Project March 2010

This is the auction art project I did with Eden's class.
I gave a quick lesson to the kids on how to draw a bird. They did fantastic work which I reproduced and then added to two canvases which are meant to be hung side by side. The border is prayers and haikus written by the students. I really enjoyed working with all the kids!
Sorry I couldn't figure out how to post them side by side.

This is such a beautiful project - thanks for sharing!

Can you give me a ballpark on the general dimensions of each bird and the size of the canvas?

Did you decoupage the whole think when you were done?

HI. Sorry I didn't see your comment until now. I had the children draw their birds in a 4x5 space on regular paper. Then I scanned the images and reduced each bird to about 3 inches. Yes I did decoupage the birds and words to the painting.

What size are the canvases?
