This is the auction art project I did with Eden's class.
I gave a quick lesson to the kids on how to draw a bird. They did fantastic work which I reproduced and then added to two canvases which are meant to be hung side by side. The border is prayers and haikus written by the students. I really enjoyed working with all the kids!
Sorry I couldn't figure out how to post them side by side.
Here I go again! I'm super excited about November's Second Saturday! I have a few survivors from last time and a new group of interesting artists. Among those newbies are my two rapscallion daughters in their debut Second Saturday.
Last month we had a wonderful turnout and are looking forward to another fabulous evening. Take advantage of Sacramento's week long fall season and don your best tuque and scarf to hit Sacramento's Second Saturday. Don't forget to stop by for a hello and a look around!
I will be showing my art work along with seven other fabulous women from the Sacramento area this Second Saturday, September 13th! There will be photography, painting, encaustics, mixed media and sculpture. Eason & Tamorninni have generously offered an office space in their building to me for transformation into a rogue gallery of sorts for Second Saturday. So drop by and stay a while. Looking forward to seeing you there. Marla
Second Saturday is such a blast! I had the best time with my Aunt becky, cousin Madeline, my sister Rochelle and her friend Tim. Here are a few more snap shots of my art in Old Soul at Weatherstone. You can even stop by and check them out yourself while you enjoy a nice cup of organic fair trade coffee. I've enjoyed this venue and met some cool folks like Mary, Elizabeth and tomorrow, Steve. http://www.oldsoulco.com/
